Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations and/or verifications of instruments and equipment to approved job plans, work instructions and/or procedures.
  • Perform testing on electronic components to determine functionality level and capacity.
  • Utilize expertise of instrument, equipment, and loop calibrations of various parameters used within the CMC’s manufacturing operations, laboratories and facilities.
  • Ensure excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Perform modifications, improvements and recommendations to existing systems.
  • Use manual and powered electrical repair and diagnostic tools/ instruments skillfully.
  • Complete all cGMP documentation associated with calibration and maintenance tasks.
  • Plan and coordinate external calibration services.
  • Review calibration SOPs for accuracy during routine calibration or when a new instrument is introduced into the calibration database. Create or revise the SOPs as needed.
  • Willingness to perform other related tasks.
  • Effectively work under minimal supervision.  
  • Effectively start, stop and operate all equipment

 

 

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent certification
  • 8+ years of related technical calibration experience
  • Knowledge of process controls and electrical circuitry
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of paperless calibration management software (ProCal or Maximo preferred)
  • Able to work from specifications, drawings, verbal instructions or sketches.
  • Knowledge of automation controllers (PLCs), Allen Bradley, Honeywell and Modicon.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, be on call and work overtime, as required.

Preferred

  • Two-year technical degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, other related technical field or equivalent military training (DD-214).
  • Professional certification (ISA- CCST, ASQ-CCT) or Military Educational Program (PMEL).
