  • Support the introduction of new products by developing, evaluating, transferring, improving and documenting manufacturing processes. Support the transfer of manufacturing technology and processes to the manufacturing site. Support and/or lead design changes to meet new regulation requirements using design control techniques. Investigates and resolves customer complaints and manages CAPA projects. Performs Process Validations using advanced statistical techniques such as Design of Experiments, SPC and Regression (Sustaining Engineering)
  • Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost. Uses advanced design for manufacturability practices such as Critical Parameter Management, Poke Yoke and Tolerancing analysis (Product Development)
  • Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput. Uses Lean and Six Sigma principles to implement cost savings in a Medical Device environment (Process Improvement)
  • Provides engineering support in production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Is able to breakdown large problems into small problems to effectively solve issues. Resolves discrepant material through the MRR process.
  • Supports company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, FDA regulations, and good manufacturing practices(GMP). Potentially serves on an Internal Audit team.



  • Bachelors of Science, Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering preferred; Advanced degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience required
  • Modern Precision Machining or hands-on fabrication experience required
  • Process Validation experience required
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is preferred
  • Experience in the Medical Device, or another highly regulated industry is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing concepts        
  • Experience using MiniTab and Oracle is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects
