    Responsibilities

    The Sr. Supply Planner is responsible for synchronizing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) with the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) for a set of product lines and facilities. The Sr. Planner will through a combination of statistical modeling and value chain analysis establish and manage inventory for finished goods, WIP, and raw material to meet desired service levels. This position will establish and ensure compliance with company and division-wide planning strategies, policies, standards, practices and relevant regulatory requirements including U.S. Food and Drug Administration and DOT/IATA, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other applicable agencies.

     

    • Calculate/manage dynamic finished good stocking levels to meet service levels for instruments, implants, and sets.  Covers multiple plants and distribution centers (DRP)
    • Analyze supply/demand forecasts to synchronize the MPS. Ensure MPS is accurate and current
    • Lead supply reviews with sales, marketing, finance and supply chain management. Plant site liaison for S&OP process. Communicate shortages and constraints
    • Oversee building of sets/tote in accordance with agreed upon strategy. Ensure downed sets are minimized / eliminated.
    • Proactively manage backorders. Expedite where appropriate thru final QA review  
    • Manage product lifecycle management in accordance with S&OP process outcomes.
    • Define with Regulatory certification and other requirements and timelines and ensure that forecasts align with these requirements
    • Drive global inventory reporting/trending of key products - in units as well as dollars
    • Support daily/weekly/monthly/ planning processes to ensure appropriate plan execution
    • Manage global allocations in accordance with company strategy for defined product lines and facilities
    • Other duties as assigned

     

     

    Qualifications

     
    • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business or a related discipline; MBA preferred
    • 5+ years’ experience in supply planning or equivalency
    • Direct experience with master scheduling and involvement in the S&OP process is required
    • Advanced certification (e.g. APICS) is preferred
    • Lean or Six Sigma certification is preferred
    • Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
    • Excellent business acumen, including demonstrated abilities and leadership with financial analyses, business case preparation, NPV, ROI, and data-driven approach
    • High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
    • Talent in facilitation and networking
    • Ability to work effectively with a variety of cultures, people, styles, and personalities
    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and project management
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong working knowledge and experience with ERP systems required – preference to those with Oracle ERP experience
    • Working knowledge of statistics required. Experience in advanced planning systems / forecasting tools preferred.
    • Experience working with manufacturing facilities and distribution centers required. Experience with outside processing preferred.
    • Experience working with consigned product / trunk stock preferred.
