    The Manager, Human Resource will advises and consults with assigned business groups across multiple divisions and geographical locations on human resources issues, including but not limited to staffing, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and organizational development.


    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


    • Diagnose HR issues and work with Leadership Team to develop appropriate plans and strategies. Specific focus on Mansfield, MA and Billerica, MA sites
    • Execution of HR strategy at the divisional and regional level by providing advice and guidance to the business on HR related issues, such as, staffing, workforce planning, performance management, progressive counseling (PIP), organizational development, compensation administration, HR systems etc., while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Partners with managers to resolve issues.
    • Develop, interpret, and analyze data extracts and reports from automated HR databases and/or develop the most efficient and effective automated systems approaches for presenting HR reports, dashboards and graphics for Codman Specialty Surgical, Global Operations and Quality Assurance organizations
    • Conducts Talent & Organizational Assessment for managers and team. Will work with client area to conduct workforce planning in support of the HR overall plan.
    • Ensures consistent application and compliance of human resources polices and employment laws and regulations.
    • Identifies learning and development needs and works with the L&OE - COE in the development and implementation of programs. Acts as a facilitator as needed.
    • Identifies and collaborates with COE and other disciplines as needed to resolve HR issues. Serves as the SME on Tier 2 employee conflicts and works with the HRSD – Employee Relations COE on escalating complex employee relations issues.
    • Performs research and analysis on HR projects and prepares reports for management and HR leadership. Recommends and implements HR solutions and/or programs to meet specific business needs.
    • Advises and consults on termination issues. Conducts the exit interview process.
    • Talent Acquisition - Ensures recruitment, interviewing is targeted to strategic business objectives.
    • Responsible for position management throughout Oracle ERP system.
    • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.


    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
    • Minimum of 7 years related experience.
    • Matrix HR support and multiple site leadership experience.
    • Experience in a Shared Services structure and Manufacturing Experience/Exposure desired.
    • HR colleague management and development.
    • Stays up to date on trends and developments within HR, the functional area as well as the medical device industry.
    • Knowledge of the principles and practices of organizational development with the ability to positively impact the structure, culture and effectiveness of the organization.
    • Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment laws and regulations.
    • Experience supporting multiple client groups and demonstrated ability in understanding the business while effectively implementing HR strategies to support business goals.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and consulting skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to handle and resolve ambiguous, confidential and sensitive situations and issues of a complex nature.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite, strong Excel skills are required. Oracle experience a plus.
    • Travel 30%
