    The clinical sales specialist strategically develops clinical and technical support methods to assist in meeting the financial goals of the company while providing customers with clinical insights related to our shoulder implants.  The service is provided through feedback in key accounts, data gathering, case coverage and continuing education programs in the field. The Clinical Shoulder Sales Specialist works closely with Regional Sales Manager to drive sales in their specific region but will also support other regions for case coverage, labs, etc.


    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


    • Attain assigned regional revenue goals and increase market share
    • Supports clinical education programs that will promote knowledge both internally and in the form of symposia and hands-on cadaver labs for medical professionals
    • Acts as a liaison with key physicians and nurses in the OR regarding clinical needs, surgical technique and effectiveness of products
    • Participates actively in national and regional professional organizations to increase the company visibility and credibility
    • Educate both internal and external teams on current peer reviewed literature, clinical changes, and sales methods
    • Conducts business within the guidelines of the budget for per diem requests
    • Participates in the review of complaints, audits and clinical issues as needed
    • Assists in the development of promotional and marketing tools
    • Supports the distributor sales team through development and revision of materials, and assists the sales trainer with training programs.
    • Deliver regular feedback to the Sale Director on market conditions, regional challenges, competitive practices and product opportunities
    • Treat others with respect; works ethically with a high level of integrity; upholds organizational values
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Extensive Travel


    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.

    • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required; business or science-related degree preferred
    • Minimum 3 years related experience to include working in the OR
    • Experience with orthopedics; including participation in educational programs
    • Must have a working knowledge of shoulder orthopedic implants in the OR setting
    • Able to perform extensive travel (75% of time) with limited restrictions.
